Description: This is my acrylic painting of a variety of vintage fishing lures in a wooden display case. I painted this from my inspiration, when as boy going fishing with my Grandad. He had a big tackle box full of all kinds of interesting lures. I would look in amazement at all the lure shapes and sizes, with propellers, beads, hooks and shiny objects! Bright hues and intricate details emphasize the variety of designs used in fishing gear.

Description: These are my acrylic painting studies of a sheepadoodle dog using different colors for the background. A sheepadoodle is a cuddly, fluffy cross between an Old English sheepdog and a poodle.

Description: I painted this lucky four-leaf clover with watercolor and added salt for the special magical effects.

Description: This is my acrylic painting of some radishes in the garden. Radishes are a flowering plant in the mustard family with a large taproot. They have a long history dating back to ancient times used as food, medicine and even made into art. Radishes are one of my favorite vegetables to grow and eat from my garden. Bright red radishes are depicted with lush green leaves, set against a textured beige background. The composition gives a sense of vibrant growth and natural abundance.

Description: This is my acrylic painting of some peas in and out of some pods. Peas are one of the earliest domesticated crops. There are many myths about peas, including their origin, their use in folk remedies and their association with good luck. Pea pods and individual peas are scattered against a vibrant yellow background, showcasing an organic and lively composition. The contrast of green against yellow creates a fresh and natural appeal.

Description: This is my acrylic painting study of a cantaloupe melon with a sweet, aromatic orange flesh fruit and netted rind. It is a member of the gourd family. They are similar to the muskmelon and honeydew. The cantaloupe can be traced back to ancient times in the Nile River Valley, Egypt. In folklore, they are a symbol of life’s sweetness and earth’s generosity. A whole melon is depicted next to a bright orange slice, set against a rich brown backdrop. The vibrant colors of the melon slice contrast with the neutral tones, creating a striking visual impact.

Description: This is my acrylic painting study of a red onion, also known as a purple or bluehi onion with its purplish-red skin and white flesh. These onions have a sweeter taste than white or yellow onions. Onions have been cultivated for at least 5,000 years and are one of the oldest cultivated plants. They are used in art, medicine and mummification. A vibrant illustration showcases a whole purple onion with sliced sections, highlighting its layers and texture. The earthy background contrasts with the bright green stems and scattered chopped pieces.

Description: This is my acrylic painting of a big cluster of mushrooms at a decaying stump in the forest. These mushrooms include oyster, button, cremini, chanterelle, morel, Portobello, champignon, death cap, enoki, and nipple mushrooms. Mushrooms have been associated with folklore, magic, witchcraft and in many children’s stories. I was amazed to see a fairy ring of mushrooms. A large tree stump is surrounded by an abundance of mushrooms and fungi, creating a rich display of earthy tones. The background features dense green foliage, adding depth and contrast to the scene.

Description: This is my acrylic painting of three little kittens. The naughty kittens have lost their mittens. The ginger kitten fell asleep after hunting in the garden. The calico kitten is sitting upright with a watchful gaze. The Siamese kitten is plotting their next adventure to find their mittens. A trio of cats is depicted with distinct expressions against a warm, golden background. The central cat sits upright with a watchful gaze, flanked by a sleepy-looking cat on one side and a wide-eyed Siamese cat on the other.

Description: This is my acrylic painting of a pickle party. I enjoy growing cucumbers then having them pickled for eating. I like dill, sweet and bread & butter pickles. Pickles are famous for their long history, health benefits and delicious taste. They have been a staple in cultures around the world for thousands of years. A gathering of cheerful pickles fills the scene, each with a distinct expression and large, friendly eyes. The vibrant green hues stand out against a dark background, creating a playful and whimsical atmosphere.

Description: This is my acrylic painting study of some raspberries. They are a perennial woody stem edible fruit. Romans are credited with cultivating them, and throughout history, they are valued as a food source, as a pigment and for their medicinal properties. They have been linked to love due to their rich, red hue and heart-like shape. I love growing and eating raspberries from my garden. Description: I really enjoy a good scenic view of Table Rock Lake. I painted this acrylic painting from my inspiration of the scenic views of the lake over the years. This lake dam construction was finished in 1958 and is near Branson and Shell Knob. It provides flood control for the White River. I enjoy watching the activity of wildlife, people and boats moving around the lake. It is so relaxing. A vast blue lake stretches into the distance, surrounded by lush green trees and dotted with sailboats and fishing boats. A tall, bare tree stands on a rocky cliff overlooking the water under a partly cloudy sky.

They aren’t just heads- they have torsos too, though many are partially or completely buried.
