Description: This is my watercolor and ink painting of two kissing seahorses in a courtship of love. I was inspired to do this painting from seeing seahorses at the Alabama Aquarium on Dauphin Island, AL. Before breeding, seahorses may court for several days. Two seahorses are depicted facing each other, their bodies forming a heart shape as their snouts touch. The background is a soft blue, adding a whimsical feel to the composition.

Description: This is my acrylic painting of some fishing lures, crankbait, spoons, rooster tails and plastic worms hanging by line next to a wood paneling wall. My love to go fishing was my inspiration for this painting. My Granddad had good luck in landing big bass with a similar red plastic worm with white spots. Each lure is uniquely designed with vibrant patterns, adding an artistic touch to the display.

Description: This is my acrylic painting on black paper of a barn owl hunting in a barn. With a ghostly appearance, haunting shrieks and roosting in barns to church belfries, it has attracted some superstition. This highly nocturnal owl has a heart-shaped face and is known for its silent gliding, white plumage and sharp talons. They have excellent eyes and phenomenal hearing for hunting. A barn owl with detailed plumage rests against a dark background, enhancing its striking features. The wooden frame adds a rustic touch to the overall composition.

I was inspired to do this painting from all the times I’ve been fishing….waiting for a bite. Two silhouetted persons are fishing from a boat on a serene body of water during a vibrant orange sunset. Description: This is my acrylic painting on black paper as a tribute to the great horned owl. I was very inspired to do this painting as a tribute after finding an injured great horned owl in my garden. The owls piercing yellow eyes seemed to stare right through me. The owl couldn’t fly. Crows were heckling it and vultures circled overhead. I was excited to help Animal Control rescue it and the owl went to an animal hospital. Sadly, the beautiful owl passed away the next day. These owls are also known as the tiger owl or the hoot owl. Some view great horned owls as the returned souls of the brave. They are often seen as a symbol of wisdom, good luck, prosperity and knowledge.
