This is my watercolor and ink painting of two kissing seahorses in a courtship of love. I was inspired to do this painting from seeing seahorses at the Alabama Aquarium on Dauphin Island, AL. Before breeding, seahorses may court for several days. Two seahorses are depicted facing each other, their bodies forming a heart shape as their snouts touch. The background is a soft blue, adding a whimsical feel to the composition.
