Oklahoma was admitted to the union on November 16, 1907 as the 46th state. This painting is part of my state bird and flower collection. Description: This is my acrylic painting of a “Crackadon.” Here is my story about the creation of this painting. One night, my seven-year-old grandson was being told by his parents you’ve got to get to bed so you can get up early, at the “Crack of Dawn” to go fishing with Grandpa (me). Later he asked them what was a “crackadon”? So this is my painting of my representation of the answer to his question, a Crackadon is a rare dinosaur, yawning at the Crack of Dawn. Later, we had a great time fishing together! Now the “Crackadon” fun family story is one we can pass along. Description: I love tacos and I love cats so with acrylics, I had to paint this “tacocat” and spelled backwards, it is “tacocat.” A cat humorously dressed as a taco lies on a brown surface. The feline is encased in a taco shell, complete with toppings like lettuce and cheese scattered around. The text emphasizes the palindrome "TACOCAT," highlighting the fun wordplay.

Description: I was inspired to do this watercolor painting of some cypress trees in the swamp after traveling and staying in the state of Mississippi.
