This is my whimsical acrylic and ink painting of a Corporal Red-winged Blackbird cartoon. I painted the red and yellow wing patches of the blackbird in the shape of corporal stripes as on a military uniform. It has a garrison cap, backpack and boots, ready for duty. The green background complements the bird’s striking black feathers.
