Winter was long but the squirrels were warm and snug in their home Kids Hoodie

This is my acrylic painting of Chippy and Missy Squirrel curled up huddled together all warm and snug in their cozy nest in the old tree hollow during the long winter. Missy scratched some of her fur off and lined the nest. The vibrant blue sky peeks through the surrounding branches with snow and ice, creating a serene atmosphere. This painting would make a good Christmas card. This painting is in the Chippy Squirrel book illustrations collection. The Chippy Squirrel book has this painting along with others of the squirrel’s adventures. I had a blast re-illustrating the second edition of this children’s book written by my aunt.
