Chippy and Missy hurry up the tree to escape from the dog Bag

This is my acrylic painting of Chippy and Missy Squirrel hurrying up the tree to escape from the farmer’s dog. The illustration of the dog, was based on the bird dog of the book authors Dad. The dog was an English Setter bird dog named Whimpy. Whimpy was a good hunting birddog and was also family friendly. Chippy scolded the dog in his barking manner but the dog stayed until suppertime at the farm home nearby. The setting is a serene field with a blue sky overhead. This painting is in the Chippy Squirrel book illustrations collection. The Chippy Squirrel book has this painting along with others of the squirrel’s adventures.
