This is my acrylic painting of Chippy Squirrel that was lonesome after realizing how quiet it was around him. He didn’t see Blackie and Billy skunk at the base of his hollow dead tree. Big Hooty forgot to fly past on his way to the corn field. The sky is a bright blue dotted with fluffy clouds. This painting is in the Chippy Squirrel book illustrations collection. The Chippy Squirrel book has this painting along with others of the squirrel’s adventures. I had a blast re-illustrating the second edition of this children’s book written by my aunt.
