This is my acrylic painting of two flamingos in love in a tranquil water setting, surrounded by lush greenery. Their pink feathers contrast beautifully with the water. These beautiful birds are wading in a tropical lagoon. The heart shape between them symbolizes love, commitment and lasting partnership. They get their pink color from their diet of algae and crustaceans, which are rich in carotenoids. These birds are social and live in large groups called “flamboyances”. Flamingos are the national bird of the Bahamas.
