This is my acrylic painting of a vibrant purple-crested turaco of the gallirex bird family. The background is a lush blend of green hues, enhancing the bird’s vivid colors. They inhabit the tropical forests and woodlands of southern Africa. They have a purple crest above a green head, a red ring around their eyes, and black bill. They eat mainly fruit.
