This is my acrylic painting of a vibrantly colorful Venezuelan troupial bird on a cactus at sunset. This is the national bird of Venezuela. It is found in Columbia, Venezuela and some Caribbean islands. They are known for being a powerful nest pirate that steals the nests of other birds rather than building their own. The term troupial is French from troupe or troop so named as they live in flocks.
