This is my acrylic painting of a big cluster of mushrooms at a decaying stump in the forest. These mushrooms include oyster, button, cremini, chanterelle, morel, Portobello, champignon, death cap, enoki, and nipple mushrooms. Mushrooms have been associated with folklore, magic, witchcraft and in many children’s stories. I was amazed to see a fairy ring of mushrooms. A large tree stump is surrounded by an abundance of mushrooms and fungi, creating a rich display of earthy tones. The background features dense green foliage, adding depth and contrast to the scene.
