This is my acrylic painting study of a vibrant red apple that has a bite taken out of it. There has been an extensive history of apples including religious and mythical significance. The apple is included with Adam and Eve, Isaac Newton, Snow White, William Tell, and the proverb, an apple a day keeps the doctor away. The artist's signature, "matt starr," is elegantly written next to the apple.
