This is my acrylic painting on black paper of a barn owl hunting in a barn. With a ghostly appearance, haunting shrieks and roosting in barns to church belfries, it has attracted some superstition. This highly nocturnal owl has a heart-shaped face and is known for its silent gliding, white plumage and sharp talons. They have excellent eyes and phenomenal hearing for hunting. A barn owl with detailed plumage rests against a dark background, enhancing its striking features. The wooden frame adds a rustic touch to the overall composition.
