This is my mixed media painting of the delicate arch stone formation in Utah. I used salt with watercolor for special effects in the rocks along with acrylic paint. This stone arch is the most recognizable landmark in Arches National Park. A towering natural rock arch rises against a backdrop of distant mountains and an expansive sky. Two tiny silhouettes of persons stand beneath the arch, emphasizing its grand scale.
