This is my acrylic painting of a bluethroat bird in the brushy habitat of the tundra. This thrush-like bird is considered to be in the Old-World flycatcher family. They are found mostly in northern Europe across the Palearctic with a foothold in western Alaska. A vividly colored bluethroat perches on a branch against a serene, blue-sky backdrop. Its plumage features a striking combination of blues, browns, and whites that catch the eye.
