This is my acrylic painting of an emu in the Australia outback. The emu is the second-tallest living bird after the ostrich. They are flightless with long necks and legs. It is the national bird of Australia. Australia became an independent nation on January 1, 1901. An emu stands in a vibrant, open landscape with a bright blue sky above a warm, earthy ground.
