This is my mixed media painting with watercolor, ink and acrylics of a blue jay bird feather. I painted this from a feather I found in my yard. Feathers of a blue jay are a symbol of good luck and fortune. If you find one, it means you should stay positive and pay attention to the signs around you. This bird is known for being curious, intelligent and friendly; all of which are qualities we should strive ourselves. The intricate details highlight the delicate texture and vibrant color contrasts.
