This is my acrylic painting of the South Carolina state bird and flower, the Carolina wren and yellow jessamine, also called Carolina jessamine. The wren is known for nesting in unusual places. South Carolina was admitted to the union on May 23rd, 1788 as the eighth state. This painting is part of my state birds and flowers collection.
