This is my acrylic painting of the Arizona state bird and flower, which are the cactus wren and saguaro cactus flower. The cactus wrens often build their nests inside a cactus to protect them from predators. Arizona was admitted to the union on February 14, 1912 as the 48th state. This painting is part of my state birds and flowers collection.
