This is my acrylic painting of the planet Jupiter the largest in our Solar System. I included the band of storms, the Great Red Spot and a few of its moons. This planet is named after the Roman god Jupiter, the king of the gods, because of its observed size. A vivid rendering of the Jupiter planet with swirling red and orange bands is set against a dark, star-speckled background. The patterns on the planet create a dynamic and atmospheric effect.
