This is my acrylic painting of red poppy flowers in a field. I used black paper to give it extra depth in the field of flowers. Poppies are used to remember those who have given their lives in battle is because they are the flowers which grew on the battlefields after World War I ended. Poppies are often worn on Memorial Day. Vibrant red poppies are scattered across a dark background, creating a striking contrast with their green stems and delicate buds. The flowers appear lively and vivid, highlighting details in their petals and centers.
