This is my mixed media painting that includes watercolor and acrylic paint on this rainbow trout swimming near the bottom of a clear, cold stream. Pearlescent acrylic paint was used for the extra shine on the scales and to give the wet appearance on the trout. The current of the stream can be seen stirring up silt on the bottom. A vibrant rainbow trout displays its colorful scales in a detailed side profile view. The water appears to flow gently in the background, accentuating the fish’s natural habitat.
