Pheasant at Sunset Tote

This is my acrylic painting of a pheasant at sunset. In my eyes, pheasants are the most inspiring game bird. I thoroughly enjoy watching pheasants in the wild. Seeing a pheasant striking rich colors against a wheat field motivates me to paint them. In addition, I love painting sunsets and sunrises. For this acrylic painting I combined the sunset as the background, with the pheasant poised ready for flight across the field into the darkness. A pheasant stands amidst tall grass during a vibrant sunset. The sky is filled with dramatic clouds, casting a warm glow over the landscape.
