Description: While on vacation, I painted the Thatcher Island Lighthouses near Rockport, Massachusetts with acrylic paint. Here is the scene from where I was staying at a Bed & Breakfast Inn in Rockport. A tranquil coastal scene features rocky shores with a deep blue sea, where sailboats and a distant island with lighthouses are visible. Houses are perched on rocky cliffs, and sea birds soar in the clear sky.

The rose bib of the male with the black and white feathers are striking to see. I was so inspired; I had to paint this beautiful rose-breasted grosbeak. Some have been seen with more of a blue shade. I was inspired to paint this one with a darker blue shade. A vibrant desert cardinal with a striking red and black tail perches on a delicate branch, set against a soft, muted background. Its expressive crest and detailed plumage highlight its exotic appearance.
