Description: This is my acrylic painting of a group of ladybird beetles or ladybugs in a Mandela pattern. A group name of ladybugs is loveliness. I painted them on black paper to give more depth to the painting. I used pearlescent paint for extra shine on their shells. A spiral pattern of red ladybugs with black spots creates a visually intriguing design. Each ladybug is meticulously aligned, enhancing the sense of order and symmetry.

The frogs are in a mandala pattern around the lily pad. I blew acrylic bubbles on the scene to create the bubble effects. I used a pearlescent acrylic for the shimmer on the dragonfly wings. Description: I was inspired to paint this mythical jellyfish with watercolors while vacationing in Florida. I got the idea while my Granddaughter was eating a peanut butter and jelly sandwich on a day when there were several jellyfish on the beach. There were purple flags warning of the jellyfish. A stylized jellyfish features intricate patterns in vibrant purple and golden hues. Its long tentacles swirl gracefully against a softly wavering blue background.

Description: This is my acrylic painting of a “Crackadon.” Here is my story about the creation of this painting. One night, my seven-year-old grandson was being told by his parents you’ve got to get to bed so you can get up early, at the “Crack of Dawn” to go fishing with Grandpa (me). Later he asked them what was a “crackadon”? So this is my painting of my representation of the answer to his question, a Crackadon is a rare dinosaur, yawning at the Crack of Dawn. Later, we had a great time fishing together! Now the “Crackadon” fun family story is one we can pass along. Description: After a trip to the New England coast, I was inspired by all the lobsters, so created this acrylic painting of a mythical Monster Lobster. The lobster is the state crustacean of Maine. Sharks swim in the water, adding a whimsical element to the scene.

Description: I painted this design of animals that are just black and white. This includes penguins, killer whale, zebra, Holstein cow, zebra swallowtail butterfly, giant panda, snowy owl, dalmatian dog, tuxedo cat and a skunk.

Description: I like watching wildlife around ponds and lakes, so I painted this close-up of a dragonfly in the cattails. I used acrylics with a pearlescent paint for the shine on the dragonfly and the wings. I like how the wings turned out with being able to see through them to a certain extent and the shine/glare on wings in the light to make them look real. A vibrant dragonfly is perched on tall, slender cattails surrounded by a calm, blue background. Its delicate wings are intricately detailed, contrasting with the earthy tones of the cattails. Legend has it that dragonflies were given an extra set of wings so that Angels could ride on their back. When you see this winged beauty, it’s a reminder that an Angel from heaven is visiting you.
