This is my painting of a colorful pheasant at sunset for a Happy Father’s Day. Seeing a pheasant striking rich colors against a wheat field motivates me to paint them. In addition, I love painting sunsets and sunrises. For this painting I combined the sunset as the background, with the pheasant poised ready for flight across the field into the darkness.
