Large Monarch Butterfly Mug

I love painting the striking rich colors of orange laced with black and bordered with white dots on a Monarch butterfly flying in the dawns early light. I used a pearlescent acrylic paint to give the butterfly color some shine with no background. The shiny effects of the pearlescent paint can only be seen on the original painting.
