Description: One night, my seven-year-old grandson was being told by his parents you’ve got to get to bed so you can get up early, at the “Crack of Dawn” to go fishing with Grandpa (me). Later he asked them what was a “crackadon”? This is my acrylic painting of my representation of the answer to his question, a Crackadon is a rare dinosaur, yawning at the Crack of Dawn. Later, we had a great time fishing together! Now the “Crackadon” fun family story is one we can pass along. A crackadon dinosaur with an exaggerated derrière stands in a volcanic landscape, its head tilted upwards as if roaring. The sun sets dramatically behind jagged mountains with vibrant colors streaking across the sky at the crack of dawn!
