Description: I love visiting and viewing Motif Number 1 and the harbor in Rockport, MA. After another vacation in the area, I was inspired to do this acrylic painting of Motif number 1 again. I love watching all the boats, birds and people in the harbor. So peaceful. All of the lobster buoys on the Motif number 1 really catch my eye! Brightly colored boats float on a serene harbor, with historic rustic red buildings providing a charming backdrop. Sailboats and structures can be seen in the distance, set against a peaceful sky.
Description: This is my watercolor painting of the famous Monument Valley, which is located on the Arizona and Utah state line. This park is a filming location for Western movies. In this painting are the West Mitten Butte, East Mitten Butte and Merrick Butte. I included a cowboy with horse on the John Ford point. Salt was used for the special effects on the rocks and mountains. A lone rider on horseback gazes across a vast desert landscape, with towering red rock formations under a sky filled with clouds. The scene evokes a sense of the American West with its rich, earthy tones and expansive horizon.

Description: This is my acrylic painting of an Ozark River. I went on a float trip on a river in southeast Missouri with some friends several years ago. We had fun, excitement and a few close calls on our journey down the river. Before our trip I had been studying some paintings of renowned artist from Missouri, Thomas Hart Benton. I learned that he had made a trip to the same river as a source for some of his paintings. On this trip, I was keenly more aware, and noticed all kinds of interesting reflections of colors, shapes and objects that could been seen in and around the gently flowing river. I was inspired about Thomas Hart Benton’s trip, his paintings and my experience on the river. I could hardly wait to get home and start painting.

Description: I just love old barns. This is my acrylic painting of an old barn at sunset. They don’t make them like they used to. The old ones made of wood look so interesting with the wear and tear, holes, missing and warped boards. So, I painted this old barn with a wind mill at one of my favorite times of the day, at sunset. A rustic barn stands amidst a field of tall grass under a vibrant sunset sky, with an old windmill nearby. The warm hues of orange and red in the sky contrast beautifully with the dark silhouette of the barn and surrounding foliage.
