This is the view from “Artist Point” of the upper and lower waterfalls at the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone. I was very inspired to paint this landscape after seeing it in person. A vibrant depiction of a canyon with a river snaking through it, surrounded by lush greenery and rocky cliffs. A waterfall cascades at the far end, adding movement and depth to the scene.
Description: This is my mixed media painting with watercolor and acrylics while overlooking the Grand Prismatic Spring with its striking colors at Yellowstone National Park. I was inspired to paint this geological wonder after seeing it in person. This is the view of the spring that is overlooking it from a trail about 100 feet above it. This is the largest hot spring in the United States and third largest in the world. Bold colors radiate from the spring, creating a stunning contrast with the dark silhouettes of nearby trees.

Description: This is my mixed media painting with watercolor, ink and acrylics of a blue jay bird feather. I painted this from a feather I found in my yard. Feathers of a blue jay are a symbol of good luck and fortune. If you find one, it means you should stay positive and pay attention to the signs around you. This bird is known for being curious, intelligent and friendly; all of which are qualities we should strive ourselves. The intricate details highlight the delicate texture and vibrant color contrasts.
Description: This is my acrylic painting with a study of some fruit and vegetable seeds, of different shapes, colors and number of seeds per item. I painted these as displayed in an old wooden seed box. Some have one seed, others have many. Some have large seeds, some tiny. In some cases, we eat the seeds, others we pick out the seeds. Some are arranged in a pattern, others random. Some have seeds on the inside, others are seen on the outside. Which are your favorite seeds?

I enjoyed learning about the history pertaining to the reasons certain birds and flowers were chosen. Prints are also available for each individual state. Description: This is my acrylic painting of the Utah state bird and flower, the California seagull and Sego lily. In 1848, when the Mormon crickets swarmed and started to devour the pioneers’ first crops, California gulls came in and ate the crickets, saving the crops, called “Miracle of the gulls.” The bulbs of the Sego lily were used as food by Native Americans and pioneers when food became scarce.
